Cullen skink (Scottish fish soup)

A tasty Scottish fish soup softened with milk and cream, which has dozens of variations. Here is one of the variations of this popular soup.

Ingredients:

300 g of cod fillets 250 g of potatoes 0.5 l water 0,2 dl milk 1 dl cream 2 pcs onions 1 tsp butter pinch of mace green parsley white pepper salt

Procedure:

Slice the fish fillets into strips, cover with water, add salt, cook on low heat for 15 minutes, then drain, set the fish aside, keep warm

Add finely chopped potatoes and onions to the broth after the fish is cooked, cook under a lid until soft

Stir in the fish./li>

Mix the soft potatoes with a stick blender until smooth, pour in the milk, cream, soften with butter, season with mace, white pepper, salt, simmer briefly

Pour the soup into bowls, add the fish pieces, sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.
