Salsa has many forms, this recipe is for cucumber salsa.

1. Squeeze the excess water from the grated cucumber thoroughly
2. Stir in the grated cucumber, then stir in the sliced jalapeño pepper and chopped dill
3. Season the cucumber salsa with salt and freshly ground black pepper
4. Let cool in the refrigerator.

Jalapeño pepper can be substituted for the round pepper: Native to South America, it has a rounded shape, round tip, fleshy flesh and is grown in yellow, red and green “versions”. It is medium hot, used in soups, sauces, stews, dressings and stuffings.
