250 g peas 1 pk onion 1.25 liters water 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp plain flour to taste salt to taste ground black pepper 4 tbsp cream

1.
Cover the peas and finely chopped onion with water, boil them until tender and mash or puree them (2 tbsp of peas should be set aside).
2.
From butter and plain flour prepare a light roux, add the puree of peas and onions, stir, salt, pepper and simmer.
3.
Temper the cream of pea soup with cream and just reheat.
4.
Serve with some whole peas.
