Creamy garlic soup for winter evenings

1. Heat the chicken stock so as not to slow down the whole process while cooking. 2. Peel the shallots and garlic and chop into smaller pieces. Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the thyme leaves in it. Add the onion, garlic and later the diced potatoes. Season the whole mixture with salt and pepper. 3. Pour the hot chicken broth over everything and cook until the potatoes and garlic are completely soft. Then blend the soup with an immersion blender. Add the cream and let it boil gently. Season with salt and pepper. 4. Serve the finished soup with bread croutons or garnished with dry-roasted garlic chips.
