Today we will treat you to healthy and fresh flavours. As we wrote in our previous post on snacks, interesting snacks and appetisers are made for the New Year’s Eve party table.
Today’s snack recommendation comes from the smoked fish section, and we’ve chosen cold-smoked salmon for our table. M.V.Wool Fishmonger’s selection of cold-smoked fish ranges from trout to sturgeon.
Smoked fish is characterised by its golden colour and denser consistency, according to M.V.Wool. As with hot-smoked fish, M.V.Wool uses beechwood chips in the smoking process to ensure the best quality product. The product is smoked in fully automatic smokers.
We started by seasoning the raw cheese with salt and pepper instead of fish. Horseradish can also be used instead. We recommend putting a slice of fresh cucumber on the side and then rolling the cheese mixture and cucumber slice in the cold-smoked salmon.
