Surprise your family and sweeten their day with these amazingly tasty and fragrant cakes I’m sure they will be delighted 1.
Pesto. Then add the cream, egg white, oil and the yeast swelled in 2 dl of milk. Add the remaining approx. 1,25 dl of milk as needed, progressively while kneading. You should get from semi-soft to softer dough, which is already starting to separate from the bowl. Finally, using a little flour, knead the dough briefly into a loaf, cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for about 40 minutes.
2.
Make the softened butter and mix the sugars with the cinnamon. We love cinnamon, so I put a whole bag in these cakes.
3.
Roll out the risen dough into a large rectangle about 6-7 mm thick and brush with butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly over the butter and roll the dough lightly into a ball. Finally, cut the strudel into equal pieces 2 fingers thick. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180 °C. While the oven is warming up, let the cakes rise a little 🙂 Finally, when the oven is hot, brush the cakes with the egg yolk that you have mixed with a few drops of water. Put them in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes. Depends on your oven.
4.
And here are the beautifully baked and fragrant cakes ;-D Which we will let cool down though, so we can pour the icing over them
5.
While our cakes are cooling, we’ll make the frosting. It’s a very simple, yet terribly tasty frosting 🙂 To make it, juice 1 large lemon, I had less than 0,5 dl of juice from mine. Then, by progressively adding sugar to the juice, whip up a thick, smooth frosting with a blender. The amount of sugar is always given according to the amount of juice.
6.
Finally, all we have to do is to dust the gently warm cakes with the icing and let them set a little
7. The dough is soft and light. The filling is soft and fragrant and combined with that lemon glaze, these cakes taste really special! Simply divine!!! They will please most of all the big treat eaters, which are especially children I wish you a good taste! 8.
