Traditionally we make poppy seed rolls at Christmas. They are quickly ready and fill us up by the time we sit down at the Christmas Eve table.
1.
Slice the rolls and soak them in lukewarm milk for a while. Grind the poppy seeds and briefly simmer in the milk with a little butter, sugar and lemon juice.
2.
Place the soaked rolls on a plate, add the poppy seed filling and drizzle with melted butter. Enjoy!
