500 g barley groats 90 g dried mushrooms 6 cloves garlic 1 tbsp dried marjoram 3 tbsp lard 1 pk onion 1 KL salt 1 pk chili pepper 1 pk egg

Tasty groat cake with mushrooms…

First, boil the grits in salted water until soft.

Fry the sliced onion in lard until golden. Then add 3 cloves of sliced garlic and sauté for max 1 minute.

Then add the pre-soaked dried mushrooms. Sauté for at least 5 minutes.

Drain the cooked grits and place in a bowl. Add the mushroom mixture and the pressed garlic (3 cloves). Add salt, marjoram, chopped chilli, one egg and mix well.

Place the mixture in a baking dish, smooth the surface and place pieces of lardons in a few places. Place in the oven and bake at 180°C for about 30-40 minutes until the surface is beautifully crispy.
