Braised Sauerkraut with Bacon

One of the variations on cabbage stewed with cracklings.
Ingredients:

Procedure:
1. Chop the bacon finely, melt it
2. Put the cabbage cut into smaller pieces on half of the lard with the crackling, pour a little more water and simmer until tender
3. Add salt to taste, sweeten with sugar and pour the other half of the melted bacon over each portion on the plates.
