From Italian gastronomy we mostly cook pizza, pasta and tiramisu. I like to discover different and interesting recipes, like this braised pork.
1.
Cut the meat into cubes and sprinkle with flour to coat it a little.
2.
Clean the carrots, celery, onion and garlic and cut into small pieces.
3.
Clean the peanuts, cut them into smaller cubes and rinse them to get rid of the starch.
4.
Put the oil and the diced bacon in a heated pan. Fry them together.
5.
Add the vegetable mixture and continue to fry. Then season with salt and pepper. Put the meat in the pot and let it pull in, then stir in the drained potatoes. Again, use salt and pepper.
6.
Fry the whole mixture for a while. Pour the broth over it and add a glass of wine. Cook, stirring occasionally, and slowly drain off the excess water.
7.
Shortly before it comes to the boil, add the sun-dried tomatoes and peas.
8.
Stir and simmer until there is just a little juice left.
9.
Serve the braised pork with a slice of fresh bread.
