Number of servings: not specified ONLY 5 eggs 120 g semolina sugar 120 g semi-coarse flour 1 pk. vanilla sugar 3 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons hot water baking powder on the end of a knife 2 tablespoons cocoa -only if you want to have a dark dough CREAM M 200 g to be softened 100 g icing sugar to taste, approx. 30 g of cocoa COCONUT COCONUT Brown rum or liqueur to cover the crust Marmalade to taste Shredded coconut or ground nuts to sprinkle on the pieces
Recipe preparation procedure
1 Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until foamy. Stir in the water, oil, flour, baking powder and, if using, cocoa. Mix everything well and finally add the stiff egg white mixture. Pour the batter and spread it out on a baking tray lined with baking paper and place it in the preheated oven until golden brown. 2 Cool the prepared cake, then cut it lengthwise into three pieces and drizzle with rum or liqueur (optional). 3 Brush the middle part with cream, cut the outer parts with a knife (to separate them from the paper) and brush with marmalade. Alternate the layers (see picture), then spread the remaining cream over everything.
