3 pcs medium sized beetroot 1 pcs onion 1 tbsp lard or use oil 5 dl water 1,5 dl milk 4 cloves garlic 1 cube vegetable broth a little minced – crushed black pepper
procedure
1. Fry the finely chopped onion in lard/oil until glassy. Add raw cleaned and diced beetroot. Sauté for about 10 minutes. 2. Cover with water and cook for about 15 minutes. Add broth, crushed or chopped garlic and pepper. Cook for about 10 more minutes, until the beetroot is soft enough. 3. Add the milk and let everything boil for a while. Finally, blend everything with an immersion blender. Season with salt if necessary. 4. Serve with a hard-boiled egg and bread.
