Beef on Onion

Simple preparation of prime beef. Recipe sent to us by our reader Mrs. Maruš.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Cut the front beef, preferably from the neck, into larger cubes
2. Cut the onion into coarse cubes, let it brown in the oil, add the meat, fry vigorously until it changes colour and releases its juices
3. Then salt the meat, pour a little water over it and let it simmer
4. Stir from time to time and baste with warm water as needed
5. When the meat is tender squeeze out the juices into the fat.
Recommendation:
Serve the meat prepared in this way with various side dishes, such as sautéed cabbage, spinach, boiled potatoes, etc.
Note:
P.S. from Mrs. Marus – Who likes spices can pepper the meat or add other spices. In our family we don’t use much spices, so most recipes are spiced less or not at all.
