Bác is actually a leavened potato cake, somewhere it is called potato bun. This old Bohemian recipe from southern Bohemia is prepared in different variations, sometimes half boiled potatoes and half raw potatoes are used, sometimes diced smoked meat or cracklings, sausage, mushrooms are added, sometimes the surface is sprinkled with poppy seeds.

Procedure:
1. Boil the potatoes in their skins, let them cool, peel them and grate them finely
2. Mix the grated potatoes with the flour and spices, season the mixture and pour in the sourdough starter, stir and leave to rise for 30 minutes
4. Grease a baking tray with lard, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, pour in the batter, align and bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the surface starts to turn red.
Recommendation:
Serve warm with hot tea or white coffee.
