Traditional apple pie in a time-tested progress…
1.
Sieve the flour on a board, rub in the butter, mix in the baking powder and sugar. Add the eggs and if the dough is hard add 2 tablespoons of milk. Work all these ingredients into a dough and divide into two equal parts. Roll out one part and transfer with a rolling pin to a buttered and floured baking sheet (I used a 36×26 cm baking sheet, but it can be smaller).
2.
I used baking paper to help me, where I traced the necessary size according to the baking sheet, and rolled the dough on the paper. Using the paper and a rolling pin, I transferred the dough to the baking sheet.
3.
Place the grated apples on top of the dough, sprinkle with vanilla and granulated sugar, and sprinkle with more cinnamon.
4.
Place the second part of the rolled out dough on top of the apples, prick with a fork and bake in a preheated oven at about 200 degrees until the cake takes on a pinkish tinge.
5.
After baking and cooling, sprinkle with icing sugar and cut. Enjoy!
