Alsatian Cabbage with Sausages

A quick variation of the famous Alsatian recipe Choucroute (read: choucroute). It is a dish cooked in one pot with sauerkraut and several types of sausages.

Ingredients:

Rule for 4 servings: 4 pcs Farmhouse sausages 4 pcs Grilled Sausages 4 pcs Barbecued Sausages 2 pcs bean leaves 2 pcs cloves 1 pc large onions 1 pack bacon 1 jar of sauerkraut 2 dcl of dry white wine several juniper berries several black peppercorns fat salt

Procedure:

Fry a thicker slice of bacon in the lard so that it turns brown, remove the bacon to a plate and lightly fry the coarsely chopped onion in the fat (about 3 minutes)

Stir in the squeezed sauerkraut, wine and spices. Bring to a boil, simmer under the lid until semi-soft, add the Farmers sausage to the cabbage at the end of the simmering.

Slice the sausages in half lengthwise, cut several times from the top and cook in a pan with a little lard together with the barbecue sausage.

To the finished cabbage and sausage add the bacon, barbecue sausage and browned bacon, heat lightly and serve. The sausages are marinated in salted liquor and contain at least 85 % pork meat and natural spices, which give them subtly spicy notes. The sausages are thin, allowing you to enjoy their tenderness and tenderness to the last bite. They have a very juicy taste. The product is gluten-free, suitable for coeliacs.
